CHEVELLE 'Ramping Up' On Tour With EVANESCENCE
March 29, 2007Launch Radio Networks reports: CHEVELLE has been alternating between headlining its own shows and supporting EVANESCENCE for most of the past month as it gears up for the release of its fourth album, "Vena Sera". CHEVELLE drummer Sam Loeffler told Launch that his band has tried to make the most of the nights it's worked as an opening act: "It worked out really well that they wanted us to do a couple of shows with them, because, you know, we're sort of ramping up and it's nice to get in front of sort of a bigger audience to try these songs out, you know, to kind of be thrown into the lion's den, I guess, as a band. And, you know, I think we work better under pressure."
CHEVELLE opens for EVANESCENCE on Friday night (March 30) in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Chicago-based trio finishes up with EVANESCENCE on April 5 in Glen Falls, New York and will begin its own full headlining trek on April 7 in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
"Vena Sera" arrives in stores next Tuesday (April 3).
CHEVELLE recently teamed with famed horror director Wes Craven for a contest in which fans could create their own video for the CD's first single, "Well Enough Alone". The winning clip was chosen by Craven and a link to it can be found at ChevelleInc.com.
